Fit’n Fire on the Glock 19 V

Fit'n Fire on the Glock 19 V

Fit’n Fire host Mark puts about 500 rounds through the new Glock 19 V and shoots it side by side with his own Gen 5. From a few feet away, he says you couldn’t tell them apart.

*NEW* Glock 19 V 500 Round Review Watch on YouTube — Fit’n Fire.

What he covers: Greg from OG’s Danger Show sent Fit’n Fire this Glock 19 V for the video. It is not his own gun, and nobody paid for the review. The 500 rounds are his and Greg’s combined, and he says plainly that isn’t enough to talk about reliability. He calls it the Glockiest Glock he’s ever shot, with nothing huge to report. Next to his Gen 5, he says it shot exactly the same, with triggers that felt mostly identical and the same recoil impulse. Glock factory magazines worked, and so did X‑Tech, Amend2, and Magpul magazines in his test. One catch is that a Glock Performance Trigger won’t drop straight in. Inside, he walks through small changes to the slide cover plate, the trigger housing, the striker lug, and the striker channel, with photos and notes credited to the armorers at Nameless Arms. His on‑screen correction says the striker lug is narrower than the Gen 5’s. Many small parts are the same as a Gen 5, and he says none of the changes are big enough to change what the pistol is. He sees the V as a stopgap model. Specific claims in the video are his, not ours.

Here’s our take. Buy the Glock 19 V if you want a Glock 19 that shoots and feels like the Gen 5 you already know. Don’t buy it expecting an upgrade over a Gen 5, and skip it if you planned on dropping in a Glock Performance Trigger. His 500 rounds are a first look, not a reliability test.
