Ruger built the 22/45 Lite around a ported, aerospace‑grade aluminum receiver and a Zytel polymer grip frame to get a full‑sized .22 pistol down to just 25 ounces -- genuinely light without feeling like a toy. The cold hammer‑forged stainless barrel is threaded 1/2x28 for a suppressor or comp right out of the box, and Ruger's redesigned rear‑button takedown does away with the fieldstripping headaches of earlier Mark pistols. A grip angle closer to a 1911 than earlier Rugers, so it shoots familiar even if this is your first Mark‑series .22.
