MDpolo Gun Channel on the SIG P322

SIG P322 .22 LR pistol in black

MDpolo Gun Channel posted this review in February 2026. He fires the first 10 rounds through his SIG P322 at an indoor range, then takes it to the tabletop. He bought it used at a gun store, and he says it “looks like it hasn’t really been shot.” He’s hard on his own first group, since he’d shot a 9 mm right before it.

Start with what he’d change. His used P322 came without some of the parts that belong in the box. He says it’s “supposed to come with two 20 round polymer mags,” and he got one 10‑round magazine. If he was only getting one, “I wish it would have been the 20 rounder.” He also didn’t get the second trigger shoe or the screw‑on adapter that makes the barrel suppressor ready. The trigger has “a lot of sponge” before “not a very defined wall,” though he says it wasn’t “an issue at all at the range.” Take the optic plate off and you lose the rear sight. The takedown lever is on the left side only. He’s only fed it CCI Mini‑Mags and CCI standard velocity, so he can’t say how other ammo runs.

He also read online that some P322s have keyholed, mostly from lead buildup when shooters use unplated lead round‑nose ammo. The common fix he found was copper‑plated ammo like CCI Mini‑Mags plus regular cleaning. He says it hasn’t happened to his, and he doesn’t know whether it only affected earlier models. That’s secondhand, not something he’s seen on his own pistol.

Then what he likes. On the grip, he says “It fits my hand perfectly. One of the most comfortable grips I felt.” The deep undercut behind the trigger guard lets him get a high grip, and the guard has room “even with gloves.” Apart from the takedown lever, the controls are ambidextrous, and the magazine catch is reversible, so “you lefties can rejoice.” Both sights are fiber optic with an adjustable rear, and he calls the sight picture “fabulous.” He says the slide serrations are “cut really, really well,” and at 17.1 oz the pistol feels “very very light.” He likes the fully transferable lifetime warranty, “no matter who owns it.” With the CCI he’s run, it’s been “100% reliable” for him.

His bottom line is that “SIG did a really nice job with the P322.” Specific claims in the video are his, not ours.

Here’s our take. This is one owner’s review of one used pistol, with 10 rounds shot on camera and the rest on a tabletop. It’s a fair look at the P322, not a promise about every pistol off the line. His trigger notes and what he read about lead ammo are worth knowing before you buy.

You can order the standard P322 he describes from us, the SIG P322 in .22 LR, black and optics‑ready, with 20+1 capacity. His used one came with a single 10‑round magazine, so we can’t say his matches ours down to what’s in the box. Ours ships as SIG builds it. Complete firearm. Indiana FFL transfer through Wulfy’s. Ask us for current fees.

You can also order extra SIG P322 20‑round magazines, the size he wished he’d gotten.
