Yes — you need an FFL to buy a complete firearm from Wulfy’s. Any complete firearm on wulfysarmory.com ships to a licensed dealer you name at checkout. That dealer runs ATF Form 4473 and the background check before you leave with the gun. Optics, magazines, stocks, and most other accessories ship to your address.
That is the whole plot. The rest of this page is what happens in between, so you do not abandon the cart because the FFL step feels vague.
What you can order online (and what still needs an FFL)
Wulfy’s is an online drop-ship FFL. You shop the catalog on the site; fulfillment follows federal rules for whatever is in the cart.
- Complete firearms — must transfer through a licensed FFL. We ship dealer-to-dealer, not to your home. Your receiving dealer runs ATF Form 4473 and the background check before releasing the gun to you in person. That is federal law, not a shop preference. The short version lives on our FAQ; the long version is in the shipping policy.
- Optics, magazines, stocks, cases, foam inserts, and most other non-firearm accessories — generally ship straight to the shipping address you provide at checkout. Some products have size, hazmat, or destination restrictions; those show on the listing or at checkout.
- NFA items (suppressors and other Title II) — different path. Transfer needs ATF approval (typically Form 4 and the tax stamp) and shipment to an FFL who also holds a valid SOT. Read NFA Transfers before you order if that is your cart.
You can mix a firearm and accessories in one order. The complete firearm still goes to your FFL; accessory line items still go to you when the product rules allow it.
The checkout step that matters: naming your receiving FFL
When the cart includes a complete firearm, checkout asks for the receiving dealer. That is the step people stall on. Do it once, cleanly:
- Choose an FFL near you that accepts incoming transfers from online dealers.
- Call or email that shop before you pay. Confirm they will take the transfer from us.
- Ask what transfer fee they charge. That fee is theirs — we do not set other dealers’ counter fees, and we do not invent ranges here.
- Ask what ID and paperwork they want on pickup day.
Enter accurate dealer information at checkout. You will get an order confirmation email as soon as the order is placed. If the FFL looks wrong in that email, reply to it or contact us right away so we can fix the receiving dealer before we ship.
Still picking the gun itself? Start in the shop. The FFL field only appears once a complete firearm is in the cart.
After you hit place order
This sequence matches the FAQ and shipping policy — no extra drama:
- Order confirmation email lands immediately. That email is your receipt.
- Accessories and other non-firearm items ship to your address.
- Complete firearms ship to the FFL you named.
- Your dealer contacts you when the package is ready to process on their end.
- You complete Form 4473 and the background check at that dealer in person.
- After they clear the transfer, you pick up the firearm with the ID they require.
Most in-stock items ship within a few business days of your order. Exact timing varies by item, stock location, and payment clearance. For complete firearms, add however long your chosen FFL needs after the package arrives. We will not invent wait times for other shops’ counters.
Worked example
Two in-stock SKUs, two shipping outcomes:
- Witness 2311 CMXX — 9mm with a 4.25" integral barrel compensator. Complete firearm. At checkout you name your receiving FFL. We ship to that dealer. You do 4473, the background check, and pickup there.
- Magpul CTR Carbine Stock (mil-spec, black) — furniture accessory. Same order or a separate one: it ships to your door, not through an FFL.
Same cart logic either way. The site already knows which line items need a dealer and which do not. Your job is naming a real receiving FFL for the gun and bringing ID when that dealer calls.
Indiana notes (light)
Wulfy’s Armory operates as an online drop-ship FFL with no public storefront. Indiana buyers follow the same complete-firearm rule as everyone else: name a receiving FFL at checkout, complete the transfer there, then leave with the gun only after that dealer finishes Form 4473 and the background check.
State carry rules and private-sale questions are separate from an online purchase through this site. This page is not legal advice. For order-specific questions about a Wulfy’s cart, use the FAQ, the shipping policy, or contact.

We do not publish a number — the receiving dealer sets their own counter fee. Wulfy’s does not set other shops’ fees; ask that shop before you pay.
