The SCAR 16S NRCH updates FN's original SCAR platform with a non‑reciprocating charging handle -- one of the most‑requested changes from real SCAR owners, since the reciprocating handle on the original design could strike a supported hand during fast shooting. A cold‑hammer‑forged, chrome‑lined, free‑floating barrel with a compensator runs through FN's short‑stroke gas piston system, and a hard‑anodized monolithic aluminum receiver carries Picatinny rails at all four cardinal positions. A telescoping, side‑folding stock with an adjustable cheekpiece and folding front/rear iron sights round out a genuinely refined version of a rifle the U.S. military helped develop.
