The American Prairie Gen II is built around a 20‑inch, spiral‑fluted bull barrel in Smoked Bronze Cerakote, with the fluting there specifically to shed weight and dissipate heat rather than just look distinctive. A three‑lug bolt with a 70‑degree throw clears most optics, the Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger tunes from 3 to 5 pounds, and an adjustable length of pull and comb height on the splatter‑finish stock let you actually fit the rifle to yourself. At 6.8 pounds with a factory‑installed one‑piece Picatinny rail, it's built for open‑country hunting where a longer, heavier barrel earns its keep without making the rifle a chore to carry.
