The American Scout Gen II brings a genuine scout‑rifle layout to Ruger's value‑priced American platform -- a 16.1‑inch threaded barrel, an extended forward section of Picatinny rail for a forward‑mounted scout scope, and adjustable iron sights for backup. A 70‑degree, three‑lug bolt throw clears low optics easily, the Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger tunes from 3 to 5 pounds, and Ruger's Power Bedding integral bedding block locates the receiver and free‑floats the barrel for real repeatable accuracy. Available in .308 Win, 5.56 NATO, 7.62x39, and 350 Legend -- a genuinely versatile, adjustable‑length‑of‑pull rifle built around the scout‑rifle concept rather than a standard hunting rifle with a longer rail bolted on.
