The EOTech 518 packs the same holographic reticle technology as EOTech's top-tier EXPS sights into a housing that runs on common AA batteries instead of the specialty batteries some models use -- a real convenience if a shooter wants to restock batteries anywhere. Side-mounted buttons and a quick-detach lever keep it compact enough to pair closely with a magnifier, and the 68 MOA speed ring with 1 MOA dot gives three aiming points, calibrated for 5.56/.223. Rated for roughly 2,200-2,500 hours of runtime depending on battery type.
