The MK18 is the exact compact carbine Daniel Defense builds for USSOCOM, not a lookalike -- a 10.3‑inch cold hammer forged, chrome‑lined barrel with a carbine gas system, and the same RIS II Picatinny quad rail (with Daniel Defense's Bolt‑Up System) that's been battle‑tested and fielded by special operations units. The URG (Upper Receiver Group) configuration gives you the exact SOCOM‑spec barrel, gas system, and rail as a complete upper, ready to drop onto a compatible AR‑15 lower without buying an entire rifle.
