The DDM4 V7 SLW trims the standard V7 down to under 6 pounds using a lightweight‑profile, cold hammer forged barrel and the free‑floating MFR M‑LOK handguard, without giving up the mid‑length gas system that keeps recoil impulse smooth and reduces wear on moving parts. An ambidextrous GRIP‑N‑RIP charging handle and Daniel Defense's own soft‑touch overmolded grip and buttstock round out a rifle built specifically for shooters who feel every extra ounce by the end of a long day carrying it. Genuinely one of the lightest rifles in the whole DDM4 lineup, not just a marketing claim.
