Heckler and Koch (HK USA) | Mark 23 | 45 ACP | Blued

The Mark 23 was developed for U.S. Special Operations Command as the Offensive Handgun Weapons System, and HK still builds it to that original military specification -- a match‑grade trigger, a one‑piece machined steel slide, and a corrosion‑resistant fiber‑reinforced polymer frame built to handle abuse a standard duty pistol never faces. Its threaded, O‑ring barrel with a polygonal bore profile accepts a suppressor without giving up accuracy, and an oversized trigger guard and ambidextrous magazine release keep it usable with gloves in genuinely adverse conditions. One of the few pistols where the civilian version is built to the exact spec the military actually adopted, not a lookalike.
