The MK18 is the exact compact carbine Daniel Defense builds for USSOCOM, not a lookalike -- a 10.3‑inch cold hammer forged, chrome‑lined barrel with a carbine gas system, and the same RIS II Picatinny quad rail (with Daniel Defense's Bolt‑Up System) that's been battle‑tested and fielded by special operations units. The SBR configuration keeps the barrel at its true 10.3‑inch length under NFA regulation, with an ambidextrous GRIP‑N‑RIP charging handle and Daniel Defense's ergonomic buttstock and pistol grip completing the exact package fielded by the operators who actually use it.
