Burris's 1/2-Inch Picatinny Riser is a simple mounting accessory, not an optic itself -- it raises whatever's mounted on top of it (an optic, light, or laser) by a half inch off the rail, useful for getting a taller optic into proper eye alignment on an AR or M16-pattern rifle. It's a short, 1.5-inch section of Picatinny rail in a matte black finish, built to take the mounting hardware of anything compatible with the standard Picatinny system.
